Puppy love and P-town

Hi! Long time no see! In this offering, a bit of this and that, things I've been up to, random and not so random thoughts. First, a poem that popped into my head this evening, inspired by our fickle weather and assured sentiments:

spring cannot make up its mind
one minute warm, bright, giving false hope
of summer soon to come;
then days of cold, wet, howling wind,
not wanting to say good-bye
to winter's sting

I am more resolute,
sure of this feeling, nourished
by warmth, compassion,
acceptance, desire.

I turn my back on the dark reach
of a loveless heart,
embracing now
the Sun.

2.

Awww, puppy love!

Suddenly, adorable dogs abound

(said the girl with two purring cats on her lap).

Meet Chuck, the new addition to my brother's family.
He's a tiny little St. Bernard puppy, only 5 months old!

This little guy is an Akita puppy we saw at the Wilsonville art festival.
The softest puppy EVER!
Willow says we should get an Akita now.
We need a bigger house...
