No exaggeration - the circles under my eyes really are this dark. See?
I've been burning the candle at both ends since school started again on Monday. I want so much to keep going with the artwork, so I've been up in the studio or down here on the computer posting blogs into the wee hours of the night. After a shower I climb into bed at about...1:00?...1:30??? And then I have to get up at 5:30 to get ready for work! I have all the energy in the world in my studio at night as I follow my bliss, but in the morning I am exhausted - I mean SCARY tired! I mean I'm-seriously-falling-asleep-at-the-wheel-as-I-drive-to-work tired!So tonight I will have to settle for this quick sketch and this very important message to myself. It's ok. Put all the different pieces together from the pages and the self-portrait will begin to shape itself and emerge in light and shadow.

Hey,I really like your self portrait and your journaling style is pretty cool too.
I think it's the quietness that the wee hours offer is what makes us go full force with our art stuff. But you're right. Dragging one's behind out of bed in the morning is a terrible price to pay.
